Delta State Assembly Upholds Rector's Suspension and Slams 6-Month Suspension on Bursar

The Delta State House of Assembly has upheld the six-month suspension of Prof. Emmanuel Achuenu Mai, the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku, following a conflict with the institution's governing council.

The Assembly adopted a comprehensive report presented by Hon. Emeka Nwaobi, recommending the suspension to allow for an unbiased investigation into alleged financial misconduct.

The suspension of the Bursar was also extended to six months for further investigations. The Assembly aims to ensure transparency, good governance, and due process in state institutions.
