Delta CP Yemi Oyeniyi Enhances Security in Delta Schools

On Thursday, Delta State Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, issued directives to strengthen security around schools, correctional centers, churches, and mosques throughout the state. Oyeniyi instructed area command divisions and police officers to conduct regular security patrols and visits to these locations to ensure maximum safety.

He emphasized the importance of compliance with operational guidelines of the Nigeria Police Force and warned officers against professional misconduct. Oyeniyi urged divisional police officers (DPOs) to engage with community leaders and stakeholders to promote security awareness.

He expressed concern over the rising incidents of murder in the state and called for officers to sensitize residents on peaceful dispute resolution. Additionally, he directed officers to maintain proper dress standards and display name tags while on duty, warning that failure to comply could result in sanctions.
