Delta CP Yemi Oyeniyi Promises Enhanced Security Measures

Mr. Yemi Oyeniyi, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, assured citizens that the Delta State Police Command will continue to implement proactive security initiatives to protect lives and property.

During a meeting with Mr. Aruga Joe Omokaro, the Chief Managing Director of Supreme Newspaper, in Asaba, Oyeniyi emphasized the importance of collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including various security agencies, to effectively tackle crime and promote peace in the community.

He acknowledged the vital role of media practitioners in safeguarding lives and property, as well as promoting social cohesion and economic activities. Omokaro expressed confidence in Oyeniyi's leadership since his deployment to Delta State in February 2026, noting a significant reduction in violent crime levels.

Oyeniyi's community policing strategy has reportedly yielded positive results, contributing to a noticeable decrease in crime and enhancing peace in the state.
