Delta Governor Unveils 31km Road Project to Boost Economy

On Tuesday, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori announced the commencement of the reconstruction of the 31-kilometer Ohoror-Bomadi road, a significant initiative aimed at boosting the local economy and improving connectivity among riverine communities. The project, which is a major step toward enhancing economic activities, will link several local government areas, including Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Patani, Burutu, and Bomadi, significantly reducing travel time and facilitating the movement of people and goods.

Governor Oborevwori emphasized the administration's commitment to ensuring development reaches all parts of the state, particularly historically underserved areas. The project involves complex engineering work tailored to swampy terrain and is expected to cost 400 billion Naira.

Additionally, the governor revealed plans to strengthen security across the state, including the construction of police divisions in 25 local government areas. The project has garnered widespread support from community leaders and stakeholders, reflecting a collective appreciation for the governor's commitment to infrastructure development.
