Delta pledges hitch-free National Youth Games as Zonal eliminations end

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has promised a seamless organization of the National Youth Games, with the aim of providing the best experience for Nigerian youth. The zonal eliminations have concluded, marking the official countdown to the Games scheduled to take place in Asaba, Delta State, from August 26 to September 6.

Various sports such as Abula, basketball, beach volleyball, cricket, football, handball, hockey, Rugby7, and volleyball were contested during the eliminations. The 9th edition of the National Youth Games is expected to see a significant number of athletes and officials participating, with the final team from each zone set to be announced later this week.

Team Delta has been dominant in the championship since its inception in 2015.
