Delta Mother Alleges Police Killed Her Two Sons

In Delta State, a mother, ef Onodja, has accused the police of killing her two sons, including her younger son Oghenemine, a 28-year-old musician known as Og Millan. The allegations arise from a recent incident where police reportedly shot Oghenemine during an operation in the Effurun area.

The mother recounted her ordeal during a condolence visit from former Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Harrison Gwamnishu, and his team. She expressed her grief and emphasized that this was not the first time she had lost a son to police violence, as her other son was killed in 2022 under similar circumstances.

The police maintain that Oghenemine was shot while being apprehended for allegedly possessing a firearm. A viral video circulating on social media shows the victim restrained and pleading for his life before the shooting, which has led to widespread controversy and public outcry regarding police brutality.
