Denmark Ends Departure Deadline Extensions for Iran, Lebanon

This decision follows a ruling by the Coordination Committee of the Immigration Appeals Board on August 27, 2026, which determined that the general situations in Iran and Lebanon no longer warranted routine delays in departure deadlines. Nationals from these countries who previously received postponements will also not be eligible for further extensions.

Individuals subject to departure orders are advised to refer to the specific deadlines in their decision documents, as these will now be strictly enforced. Additionally, the processing of asylum cases for Iranian nationals remains suspended, although their departure deadlines will now adhere to the new enforcement framework, indicating a firmer stance by Danish authorities on exit orders.
