Certificate Forgery Scandal Rocks Kogi Poly: Deputy Registrar Suspended

A major certificate forgery scandal has rocked Kogi Polytechnic in Lokoja, resulting in the suspension of five staff members, including the Deputy Registrar. The scandal involves the alleged forgery of documents within and outside the school, with multiple result slips carrying fake names.

The rector disclosed that a syndicate involving students, non-students, and dishonest staff members worked together to falsify official documents. The mastermind, Henry Tope, confessed to the forgery ring, which also involved a former student, Amina Mustapha, who obtained fake results to gain admission.

Investigations revealed a network of forgery involving fake stamps, admission letters, and forged statements.
