Kalu Secures APC Ticket for Bende Constituency Unopposed

On Saturday, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Bende Federal Constituency unopposed in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Kalu, a registered member of the APC, was pronounced the candidate after an exercise held across 13 electoral wards in the constituency.

The process saw a large turnout of party members and stakeholders, who commended Kalu's leadership and legislative performance. The APC noted that Kalu's tenure has attracted impactful projects and strengthened party unity, amplifying the voice of the constituency at the national level.

Kalu expressed gratitude for the support from party members, community leaders, youth, and women's groups, reiterating his commitment to delivering democratic dividends, promoting inclusive governance, and advancing policies to improve the welfare and economic opportunities for the people of Bende.
