The situation is further worsened by food shortages, creating critical conditions for those held captive. Security agencies are responding by intensifying operations against these armed groups, with the aim of weakening their operational capacity.

Usman Bala Tsamiya Babba, a security expert, noted that the ongoing military operations and increased support for local communities are crucial in addressing the hardships faced. The blockade of supply routes has significantly curtailed the activities of these armed groups, limiting their access to food and medical supplies, which may accelerate the end of their operations.
