PDP Chairmen Urge Jonathan to Disassociate from INWC

The Forum of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Chairmen expressed dissatisfaction over the use of former President Goodluck Jonathan's name by the Interim National Working Committee (INWC), chaired by Dr Tanimu Turaki, which claims he is the party's 2027 presidential candidate. The Forum urged Jonathan to publicly disassociate himself from the INWC, asserting that the legitimate leadership of the PDP is the National Working Committee (NWC), chaired by Honourable Abdulrahman Mohammed.

The INWC had submitted Jonathan's name and National Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) without proper recognition, as Jonathan's name was not included in the list of qualified candidates published by INEC. The Forum, led by Honourable Austin Nwachukwu, called for Jonathan to protect his integrity and legacy by distancing himself from the INWC, which they accused of forgery and misrepresentation.

They also requested legal action against the INWC and alerted the FCT Minister, Mr Nyesom Wike, regarding the meeting venue of the Turaki camp.
