Enenche Warns Division Threatens Church Unity in Nigeria

During the second solemn assembly held at the Glory Dome in Abuja, Dr. Paul Enenche, senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, warned that division remains the greatest threat to the survival of the Church. He urged Christians across Nigeria to unite in the face of growing insecurity.

Enenche emphasized that collective action multiplies strength and referenced Abraham Lincoln's famous wartime statement about unity. He highlighted the alarming statistics shared by the Stefano Foundation, which disclosed that 9,000 Christians have been killed in Nigeria over the past 25 years due to violence linked to the implementation of Sharia law since 1999.

The foundation reported 79,000 people injured, 8,000 kidnapped, and 17,404 abducted, with 500 communities affected. Enenche's call for unity was echoed by Dr. Yusufu Turaki, who delivered a keynote address discussing the misinterpretation of persecution in Nigeria, particularly regarding violence in northern states.
