Enenche Criticizes Security Agencies Over Jingir's Remarks

Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, expressed his concerns during a sermon on Sunday regarding the failure of Nigerian security agencies to invite Islamic cleric Sheikh Muhammad Jingir for questioning. Jingir had made controversial remarks advocating for a Muslim-Muslim political arrangement in Nigeria.

Enenche deemed these statements as provocative and potentially inciting violence, arguing that security agencies should have acted against such remarks to prevent religious tension. He emphasized that Christianity should not be considered subordinate to any other religion in Nigeria, asserting that Christians represent a significant portion of the population.

Enenche criticized the lack of consequences for individuals making reckless statements and warned that the Christian community should not be taken for granted. Jingir's comments were made during a wedding reception organized by the Kano State Government, where he urged Muslims to demonstrate their numerical strength in voting.

Following backlash, Jingir stated he had no regrets about his advocacy for a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.
