Dogara Endorses AACT 2026 to Promote Nigeria's Golf

Yakubu Dogara, the Board Chairman of the Nigeria Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC), endorsed the Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) 2026, which aims to showcase Nigeria's women's golf. He provided this endorsement during a meeting with a delegation from the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN).

The championship, scheduled to take place from November 2 to November 7, 2026, at the IBB International Golf Country Club in Abuja, is expected to attract participants and officials from 30 African countries, alongside government delegates, sports administrators, investors, and international media representatives. The event will feature a Sports to Business (S2B) pavilion designed to promote trade, investment, and partnership development across Africa.

Dogara emphasized that the championship serves as a strong platform for Nigeria to project itself, highlighting the importance of women’s sports development in the country. Dr.

Lami Onayi-Ahm, the president of LGAN, noted that AACT 2026 presents Nigeria with an opportunity to demonstrate excellence in sports administration and hospitality.
