Tunji Ojo Supports All Africa Challenge Trophy in Abuja

Tunji Ojo, the Minister of Sports, expressed strong support for hosting the All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) in Abuja from November 2-14. During a courtesy visit to Lami Ahm, President of the Ladi Golf Association Nigeria, Ojo commended the increasing participation of women in golf, recognizing it as a significant contributor to national development and leadership.

He praised the leadership of the Ladi Golf Association and noted the need for a dedicated vision and resilience in managing the event. Ojo highlighted the importance of security, assuring that the Nigerian Immigration Service would establish a dedicated desk to coordinate logistics and arrivals, ensuring safety for participants and officials.

He reiterated the commitment to foster partnerships among relevant agencies to enhance the overall execution of the championship. The tournament is expected to attract participants from 30 African countries, positioning Nigeria as a hub for sports diplomacy.

The operational framework for the event is set at N547 million, with calls for strategic partnerships to ensure a seamless experience.
