LGAN Seeks Cultural Partnership for AACT 2026 in Abuja

The Ladi Golf Association Nigeria (LGAN) is pursuing a partnership with the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy to co-host the All-Africa Challenge Trophy 2026 in Abuja, scheduled for November 2-7, 2026. Dr.

Lami Ahm, the LGAN President and Chairperson of the AACT 2026 Local Organizing Committee, presented this proposal during a courtesy visit to Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa. The collaboration aims to include cultural nights featuring Nigerian art, music, fashion, and cuisine, while also facilitating business dialogues and exchanges among diplomats and media from 30 African nations.

Musawa expressed her commitment to reviewing the proposal and noted the importance of golf in building community resilience and promoting mental health. She emphasized that the championship would provide opportunities to expand Nigeria's tourism narrative beyond Lagos and Abuja.

The partnership is positioned as a significant moment for women's golf in Nigeria and aims to highlight the country's creative economy.
