Drawcok Estate Ltd Sues FBNQuest for N100bn Over Property Seizure

Drawcok Estate Ltd has initiated a N100 billion legal action against FBNQuest Merchant Bank Ltd, First Trustee Ltd, Mr. Abubakar Sulu Gambari SAN, and others over the alleged unlawful seizure of properties located at No. 41 Akin Adesola Street and 60 Saka Tinubu Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The lawsuit, marked FHC/L/CS/2127/2025, claims that the defendants executed a court order to seize the properties without the plaintiff's involvement in the court proceedings. The plaintiff asserts that the defendants, aware that the properties were exempt from the court order, misled the court to gain access.

The suit alleges that the defendants employed armed security personnel to forcibly enter the properties, damaging them and preventing tenant access. The plaintiff seeks restitution of the properties and damages for the alleged wrongful execution of the court order, which has caused significant reputational and economic harm.
