Saraki Slams Kwara Governor Over Offa Robbery Allegations

Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, has condemned Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for attempting to revive allegations linked to the Offa robbery incident that occurred eight years ago. Saraki warns Abdulrazaq to cease what he describes as a "despicable act" aimed at using the robbery case for political pressure.

He highlights that the Nigerian Police and the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation had previously concluded that there was no direct or indirect evidence linking him or his predecessor to the robbery. Saraki references two legal advisories from the Director of Public Prosecutions, dated June 22, 2018, and August 23, 2018, which stated that no prima facie case could be established against him.

He accuses Abdulrazaq of engaging in dirty politics and using propaganda to mislead the public, while also criticizing the governor's handling of security issues in the state, which has seen significant violence and insecurity.
