DSS Arraigns Ex-AGF Abubakar Malami and Son Over Terrorism Financing and Illegal Firearms

The Department of State Services (DSS) brought charges against former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and his son, Abdulaziz Malami, in a Federal High Court in Abuja. The charges include abetting terrorism financing, illegal possession of firearms, and ammunition.

Abubakar Malami and his son pleaded not guilty to the five-count charges. The court adjourned the case until February 20 to hear the bail application and commence the trial.

The allegations include knowingly aiding terrorism financing and possessing firearms without the required licenses. The defense counsel sought bail for the accused, which will be considered at the next hearing.
