DSS Arrests Gunrunner, Seizes 832 Rounds of Ammunition

The Department of State Services (DSS) arrested a suspected gunrunner named Kelvin Ebikeniy Dugo on Monday in Odukpani Local Government Area, Cross River State. The arrest followed credible intelligence regarding Dugo's plan to transport 832 rounds of live ammunition concealed within food items.

During the operation, the DSS also recovered two empty AK-47 magazines. This operation is part of the DSS's intensified efforts to pursue criminals and dismantle gun-running syndicates across the country.

The agency has launched sustained operations nationwide to curb the proliferation of illegal arms, demonstrating its firm commitment to enhancing national security.
