DSS DG and Zamfara Governor Honored at BON Awards

The Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, was honored at the Broadcast Organisation of Nigeria (BON) Awards held on Wednesday in Abuja. This recognition comes five months after he received a similar accolade from the International Press Institute (IPI).

The awards commend Ajayi for his support and respect for the media, with BON describing him as a thorough professional who displays utmost respect for the media. The award was presented on Ajayi's behalf by Bayo Awosemo, the head of BON's steering committee.

Alongside Ajayi, Zamfara State Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal and Cross River State Senator Bassi Otu were also recognized for their contributions to the media industry.

Governor Lawal expressed gratitude to the organization for acknowledging their hard work and the impact of their contributions on society, emphasizing the media's role in shaping narratives not just in Nigeria but globally. The event highlighted the importance of fostering better relationships between security agencies and the media.
