DSS Arrests Woman Supplying Ammunition to Bandits

The Department of State Services (DSS) apprehended 25-year-old Nafisa Usman, a resident of Zango Village in Kankara Local Government Area, Katsina State, for allegedly supplying ammunition to bandits. The arrest occurred at a major motor park in Kano, where she was found in possession of 200 rounds of newly acquired ammunition, reportedly intended for transport to Kankara, Katsina State, via Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Sources indicate that the arrest was part of an intelligence operation aimed at disrupting the supply chain linked to armed bandit groups in the region. Usman confessed to a two-month trade in illegal arms and ammunition, revealing that she facilitated a 5 million naira deal at the Unguwa Uku motor park in Kano.

She identified individuals involved in the bandit network, including a leader known as Mallam Haruna and a collaborator named Teso, who operates from a military base in Lafia. The DSS continues its efforts to dismantle criminal networks and safeguard national security.
