DSS Testifies Against Activist in EFCC Theft Allegation Case

On Wednesday, Yusuf Adam, a representative of the Department of State Services (DSS), testified at the Federal High Court in Abuja concerning the trial of activist Mose Oddiri. Oddiri faces two counts of publishing false information against the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who is accused of stealing ₦4 billion in royalty funds intended for the Orogun community in Delta State.

Adam, who is part of the DSS's Economic Intelligence Investigative Department, stated that the agency received a petition from the EFCC regarding Oddiri's allegations, which were disseminated via social media. The court was informed that Oddiri was arrested on November 10, 2025, in Lagos, and that evidence, including a video and documents from banks, was obtained during the investigation.

The trial is set to continue on March 13, with discussions on Oddiri's bail application also scheduled.
