DStv Compact Upgrade: Access Premier League Matches

MultiChoice is set to upgrade its DStv Compact package, allowing subscribers to access every Premier League and Champions League match starting September 17. Existing Compact customers will automatically transition to the new Sports package without needing to change their subscriptions.

This restructuring is the most significant overhaul of DStv packages in 15 years and aims to provide tailored choices based on viewing preferences. The new Sports package will feature 17 sports channels, including coverage of PSL matches and cricket, which was previously exclusive to Premium subscribers.

MultiChoice CEO Willington Ngwepe stated that the redesign reflects changing viewing habits. Other DStv packages will also be affected, with Access subscribers moving to Starter and Family customers transitioning to Select.

The new packages will be available on both DStv satellite services and DStv Stream from September 17, with no price increase announced for the new offerings.
