Nollywood Stars Lead HIV Awareness Film BI30

OGWA Studios has announced that Nollywood actors Durotimi Okutagidi and Adeola Awodein will lead the cast of the upcoming short film BI30, aimed at raising awareness about HIV testing and combating stigma in Nigeria. The film is part of a national awareness campaign scheduled to premiere on December 1, 2026, coinciding with World AIDS Day.

Okutagidi will portray Ehi, a young man confronting his fears about HIV testing, while Awodein will play the role of an HIV counsellor, representing compassion and promoting the idea that testing is a responsible act. Prosper Light, the film's writer, director, and executive producer, emphasized the importance of casting actors capable of evoking empathy to foster a deeper understanding of the subject.

The project will extend beyond the film, involving university tours, community discussions, and healthcare partnerships to encourage stigma-free dialogue around HIV testing and sexual health.
