ICPC Prosecutes Ex-Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai

The Democracy Watch Initiative (DWI) has praised the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for its swift action in prosecuting former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. The ICPC confirmed that El-Rufai is facing multiple charges, including money laundering and abuse of office, with arraignment scheduled for the Federal High Court in Kaduna.

DWI's Director of Strategic Communications, Tunji Bamidel, described this development as a significant step in the fight against corruption and promoting accountability in public institutions. The allegations against El-Rufai are serious, as they involve the conversion and possession of public property.
