FRSC Deploys 1,889 Personnel for Eid el-Fitr Patrol in Kano

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the deployment of 1,889 personnel for a special patrol operation in Kano State during the Eid el-Fitr celebrations scheduled from March 17 to 22, 2026. This initiative, as revealed by the sector command's public relations officer, Abdullahi Labaran, aims to ensure safe and smooth travel during the festive period.

The deployment includes 1,348 regular marshals and 541 special marshals who will conduct 24-hour patrols across all 44 local government areas in Kano State. The operation will be supported by five ambulances, heavy-duty tow trucks, and 25 patrol vehicles to guarantee prompt rescue services and quick clearance of road obstructions.

The FRSC will focus on enforcing critical traffic offenses, including speeding, dangerous overtaking, and seat belt violations. The command will collaborate with various security and emergency response agencies, including the Nigeria Police and DSS, to ensure effective traffic management and prompt response to emergencies.
