NSCDC Deploys 57,000 Personnel for Easter Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), led by Prof. Ahm Abubakar Audi, has approved the deployment of 57,000 personnel across the nation to bolster security during the Easter festivities.

This large-scale mobilization includes special tactical units and intelligence operations, covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The initiative aims to enhance the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, as outlined by the NSCDC.

The zonal and state commands, along with the provost, have been directed to intensify security measures within their jurisdictions, particularly in high-traffic locations such as churches, shopping malls, and recreational centers. The NSCDC emphasizes the importance of vigilance and collaboration among security agencies, as well as the need for rapid intelligence sharing and response mechanisms.

Special units, including the CG's Special Intelligence Squad and the Special Female Squad, are on high alert to respond swiftly to any security breaches. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
