NSCDC Deploys 2,280 Personnel for Easter Security in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 2,280 personnel across 16 local government areas in Kwara State to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration. Bala Bawa Bodinga, the state commandant, stated that this large-scale deployment is designed to preempt potential disruptions and forestall criminal activities during the festive period.

The NSCDC remains committed to safeguarding lives and property, with efforts focused on ensuring a hitch-free celebration. A statement issued in Ilorin emphasized the visible strategic security presence across the state, particularly in operational stations, churches, recreational centers, motor parks, and shopping complexes to deter criminal activities.

The command also disclosed that surveillance and patrol operations would be intensified in both urban and rural areas, with a rapid response squad on high alert to tackle any emerging threats. Bodinga urged the public to cooperate with security agencies and warned that individuals with criminal intent targeting government infrastructure would face severe consequences.
