NSCDC Deploys 1,750 Personnel for Eid-el-Fitr Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 1,750 personnel across Osun State to strengthen security arrangements for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. This decision follows a strategic meeting involving senior officers from the command, where operational plans for the festive period were reviewed.

Igbalawol Sotiyo, the state command's head, emphasized the importance of protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring the safety of residents during the celebrations. The personnel will be strategically positioned in public locations, including markets and recreational centers, which are considered vulnerable during this time.

The NSCDC has instructed field commands to supervise the deployment effectively and maintain order to prevent potential threats to public safety. Additionally, the command has urged community leaders to caution young people against actions that could disrupt public order and reassured residents of their commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
