NSCDC Deploys 2,280 Personnel for Easter in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 2,280 personnel across 16 local government areas in Kwara State to maintain safety during the Easter celebrations. Bala Bodinga, the commandant of the Kwara State Command, ordered this deployment to prevent potential breaches of law and order during the festivities.

According to a statement from the Civil Defence Public Relations Office, Ayoola Michael made this information available to journalists in Ilorin on Thursday. The personnel will be strategically positioned across churches, recreational centers, motor parks, shopping complexes, and other critical locations to deter criminal activities and ensure a safe festive period.

Bodinga emphasized the need for a resolute response against individuals with criminal intent, particularly those planning to vandalize national assets or disrupt public order. He also extended Easter greetings to Christians and urged residents to embrace the season's values of love, sacrifice, peace, and coexistence while cooperating with security agencies.
