NSCDC Enhances Security at Churches and Mosques in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced a new security arrangement to protect worshippers in Kwara State amid growing concerns over insecurity. Mr.

Bala Bawa Bodinga, the state command's representative, disclosed that security personnel will be stationed at mosques during Friday prayers and churches during Sunday services. This deployment is part of a broader effort to safeguard lives and properties across the state.

The NSCDC will intensify patrols and surveillance operations across local government areas, ensuring a 24-hour presence to respond swiftly to security threats. Bodinga emphasized the importance of cooperation among security agencies and the need for intelligence sharing to prevent crime.

He also noted the necessity for modernizing the corps through training and improved equipment to meet emerging security challenges. Furthermore, he called for stronger operational support from the Nigerian Air Force to enhance surveillance and rapid response capabilities.
