TRACE and FRSC Boost Patrols for Easter Safety in Ogun

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have intensified their patrol and enforcement operations across major highways in Ogun State in preparation for the Easter season. This initiative, announced by TRACE head of media and public relations Babatunde Akinbiyi and FRSC Ogun sector command spokesperson Afolabi Odunsi, commenced on Wednesday and will conclude on Friday, April 10.

Officers have been deployed across 27 traffic corridors to ensure effective traffic management and prompt emergency rescue services. The agencies anticipate challenges such as high volumes of human and vehicular movement, vehicle breakdowns, and reckless driving, which could lead to road crashes.

Additional operations will involve volunteers and strategic location checks at choke points. The agencies also caution motorists against dangerous driving behaviors, urging them to exercise caution during this significant Christian celebration, which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
