FRSC Deploys Personnel for Easter Traffic Patrol in Enugu

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the deployment of 569 personnel and 10 vehicles for special Easter patrols in Enugu State, as disclosed by Mr. Franklin Agbakoba, the sector commander.

This operation will run from April 1 to April 10, with personnel working 24-hour shifts to manage traffic effectively. The deployment includes 309 regular marshals and 260 special marshals, utilizing seven patrol vans, motorcycles, and a tow truck equipped with an intensive care medical ambulance.

Chief David Umahi, the Minister of Works, anticipates that the two-lane traffic on the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway will alleviate congestion and prevent accidents. Agbakoba has urged travelers to plan their journeys, leave early, and exercise patience while on the road.

He emphasized that the FRSC will not tolerate overloading or alcohol consumption by drivers, aiming for a safe and secure Easter celebration for residents in Enugu State.
