Ezza Activist A Oluchukwu Urges Support for Credible Candidates
A Oluchukwu, a political activist from Umuezeoka in Ezza North Local Government Area, called on Ezza elders and elites to support credible candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. In a statement released in Abuja, he cautioned against being misled by individuals with personal political agendas masquerading as representatives of the Ezza community.
He specifically warned against supporting Governor Francis Nwifuru’s re-election bid based on the expectation that political power would transition to an Ezza candidate in 2031. Oluchukwu alleged that some Ezza elites had shifted their allegiance to a former governor who opposes Ezza governance in 2031.
He emphasized the importance of evaluating candidates based on their contributions rather than endorsements. He praised Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, the PDP governorship candidate, for his political inclusivity, noting his selection of Ezza individuals, Senator Paulinus Igwe Nwagu and Hon. Patrick Mgbebu, as running mates in previous and upcoming elections.
