EDC and Equinix Foundation Launch SparkLab for Entrepreneurs

The EDC (Enterprise Development Centre) and Equinix Foundation officially launched SparkLab at EDC's headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. SparkLab is a twelve-month incubator program designed to empower early-stage technology entrepreneurs by bridging the gap between idea generation and market success.

The program includes a six-month intensive learning phase focused on venture development, business model validation, and investor readiness, followed by practical implementation support and mentorship. Dr.

Nneka Okekearu, Director of EDC, stated that SparkLab aims to nurture the next generation of innovative business leaders and create meaningful impacts through technological innovation. Mr.

Wole Abu, Managing Director of Equinix West Africa, emphasized the importance of investing in entrepreneurial talent and digital innovation, noting that SparkLab exemplifies Equinix Foundation's commitment to advancing digital inclusion and expanding economic opportunities for Nigeria's youth. This partnership marks EDC's first incubator collaboration focused on early-stage entrepreneurs.
