SparkUp Conference Empowers Women with Grants and Mentorship

The SparkUp Conference took place in Warri, Delta State, aimed at empowering women through grants and mentorship. The event was organized by the Women Beyond Boundaries Foundation, founded by Elohor Vivian.

It featured a pitch competition where 15 participants, including market women and university students, were randomly selected. Niyi Adesanya, a strategist, urged women to embrace mentorship across gender lines and pursue opportunities in sectors with strong wealth creation potential.

Reverend Father Atta Barkindo from the Kukah Centre expressed readiness to support future interventions based on research and evidence. The conference's theme emphasized the importance of women's participation in the economy to drive inclusive growth and contribute significantly to national development.

Dr. Ada Mbanaso, chairperson of the Pengassan Women Commission, underscored the importance of partnerships, entrepreneurship, and leadership development in expanding opportunities for women.
