FATE and Citi Foundations Launch Youth Entrepreneurship Program

FATE Foundation, in collaboration with Citi Foundation, has launched a Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Programme aimed at equipping young people in Nigeria with essential financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills. This initiative is designed to support youth-led enterprises, enabling income generation and job creation.

The programme will provide free access to a platform that supports the incubation and scaling of these enterprises. In October 2025, FATE Foundation will select recipients from Citi Foundation's 2025 Global Innovators Challenge, which accelerates youth employment initiatives.

A cohort of 50 organizations will receive $500,000 over two years to advance their youth employment initiatives. Ayomid Akindoli Igw, Executive Director of FATE Foundation, emphasized the importance of equipping young entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to build and sustain businesses.

The initiative aims to address the growing job crisis in Africa, where by 2030, the continent will host 40% of the world's youth, with many already unemployed.
