ADC Suspends Oyegun and Osunbor for Insubordination

The Edo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended former national chairman Chief John Odigi Oyegun and former governor Senator Osareimen Osunbor due to allegations of insubordination and anti-party activities. The suspension also affects other members, including Senator Ehigi Uzamar, Yisa Braimah, Hon.

Nosa Ehima, Hon. Sylvest Ewanehi, Toni Alil, Jafaru Sumaila, Stella Alli, and Igieogb Asemota, as stated in a release by the faction led by Chairman Kennedi Odion.

The suspension is set for a period not exceeding three months while the state disciplinary committee conducts an investigation. The statement cited that the actions of the suspended members could cause disaffection within the party and included unauthorized factional engagements.

The affected members have the right to appeal the decision within 14 days of receiving the notice, with the appeal to be determined within 21 days by the appropriate party organ. Oyegun responded by stating he would not engage in low-level disputes.
