Edo Governor to Attend Kadiri Ikhana Academy Launch

The official launch of Kadiri Ikhana’s football academy is scheduled for March 28 in Auchi, Edo State. The event will be attended by notable figures including Edo State Governor Senator Mondai Okpebholo, Malam Shehu Dikko (Director General of the Nigeria Football Federation), and Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau (NFF President).

Other dignitaries expected include Hon. Denni Idahosa (Deputy Governor of Edo State), Hon.

Amadin Desmond Enabulele (Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission), and Hon. Gbenga Elegbeley (Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League).

The academy, which began its operations in late 2022, aims to nurture football talent among children aged 9 to 16, providing them with technical guidance and career pathways. Kadiri Ikhana, a former coach who led Enyimba International FC to victory in the CAF Champions League in 2003, established the academy to contribute to the development of youth football in Nigeria.
