Edo Obidient Movement Passes No Confidence Vote Against Igiogb

The Edo State Chapter of the Obidient Movement has passed a unanimous vote of no confidence against its state coordinator, Comrade Asemota Igiogb. This decision was made by the state executive committee and stakeholders, who accused Igiogb of autocratic leadership, failing to convene mandatory executive meetings, and not providing regular reports on the movement's activities.

The group alleged that major decisions, including initiatives to strengthen grassroots structures, were made unilaterally without consulting members. Furthermore, Igiogb was accused of holding meetings with political actors without the knowledge or approval of the executive committee and presenting individuals not duly recognized as members.

Concerns were raised about Igiogb's leadership style creating divisions within the movement and pursuing partisan political interests, contrary to the movement's non-partisan character. Despite interventions, grievances persisted, leading to the vote of no confidence aimed at safeguarding the integrity and unity of the Obidient Movement in Edo State.
