Edo Governor Okpebholo to Appoint 4,000 Aides for APC

On Monday, Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo announced his intention to appoint 4,000 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) from the All Progressives Congress (APC). This initiative aims to strengthen the party and enhance grassroots participation in governance.

Okpebholo made this announcement while addressing APC members from all 18 local government areas at the Government House in Benin City. He emphasized that the appointments recognize the collective efforts of party members in securing the APC's electoral victory, stating, “The victory does not belong to Okpebholo alone.” The governor reiterated his commitment to extending governance to the grassroots, ensuring that policies and programs reach local communities.

He also called for unity within the party, affirming that the APC remains the platform for collective electoral success. Jarret Tenebe, the Edo State APC chairman, praised Okpebholo for his efforts to reposition the party and mentioned that a committee has been formed to oversee the selection process for the new appointees.
