Okpebholo Appoints Advisers on Traditional Matters, CSOs

On September 3, 2026, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo approved the appointments of Chief Emmanuel Iyase as Special Adviser on Traditional Matters for Edo South and Emmanuel Sunday as Special Adviser on Civil Society Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations. The announcement was made in a Government Special Announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

The statement shared on the state’s official Facebook handle indicated that these appointments are intended to strengthen the administration's engagement with traditional institutions, civil society organisations, and non-governmental organisations.
