Edo State Breaks Ground on 100MW Power Plant Project

On a recent date, Edo State Governor Senator Mondai Okpebholo conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for a significant 100MW power generation plant and a 300 metric ton per day LNG facility at Taihu Industrial Park located in Ologbo, Ikpoba Okha Local Government. During the event, Governor Okpebholo emphasized that the project would foster prosperity for the people of Edo State and create opportunities for cooperation with investors.

He highlighted that this initiative marks a notable achievement for his administration in promoting industrial growth, energy security, and economic transformation. The governor reassured attendees that the state does not engage in signing fake memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and is committed to following legal frameworks in its development efforts.

He expressed confidence in Edo State's attractiveness for investment, noting that when first approached about the power plant project, the administration quickly partnered with companies and provided free land for the initiative.
