Edo/Delta Customs Generates N125.13bn Revenue in 2025

The Edo/Delta area command of the Nigeria Customs Service reported a revenue generation of N125.13 billion from January to November 2025, exceeding its projected target of N102.01 billion by 22.67%. Comptroller Judith Kanu disclosed this achievement during a courtesy visit from the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Warri Correspondents Chapel.

Kanu attributed the success to the command's commitment to transparency and strong collaboration with media stakeholders, which she identified as key drivers of revenue performance. She emphasized the need to strengthen ties with journalists to deepen public trust and enhance understanding of the Customs Service's activities.

Earlier, Comrade Akpokona Omafuair, chairman of the NUJ Warri Correspondents Chapel, described the Nigeria Customs Service as a strategic economic institution in the country, highlighting its role in revenue generation, anti-smuggling operations, and the protection of the nation's economy.
