EFCC Arrests Ifeanyi Mba for N10 Million Land Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Ifeanyi Mba in connection with a N10 million land fraud case in Enugu. The arrest was disclosed in a statement by the EFCC, which indicated that the suspect was accused of receiving payment for a piece of land located at Plot 677, Owo Premier Layout, Nike Community, Enugu State.

The petitioner claimed to have paid Mba for the land, which was purportedly to be developed, but upon contacting Mba regarding the property, he became unresponsive. Preliminary investigations by the EFCC revealed that there is no layout corresponding to Plot 677 within the government-acquired area at Owo Premier Layout.

Following the investigation, Mba is expected to face charges in court. This arrest follows a recent recovery of N1.28 billion by the EFCC from Sujimoto Luxury Construction Ltd, linked to funds meant for a school project in the state.
