EFCC Now Obedient Lapdog Doing APC’s Dirty Work – HURIWA

HURIWA, in a statement on Tuesday, criticized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly becoming an obedient lapdog doing the dirty work of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The National Coordinator, Emmanuel Onwubiko, accused the EFCC of using the detention of former Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal as a smokescreen to intimidate and fracture the opposition coalition.

HURIWA lamented that the agency's selective arrests and investigations were aimed at crushing the opposition ahead of the 2023 general elections. The association claimed that the EFCC, once seen as impartial, has now become a crucial tool in the APC's alleged desperate and crooked quest for a second term.

HURIWA urged Nigerians to see through the agency's actions and recognize its role as an obedient tool of the ruling party.
