EFCC Identifies Impostor Posing as Anti-Graft Officer

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has unveiled the identity of Haruna Mamuda, a dismissed military personnel, who allegedly posed as an officer of the anti-graft agency. This revelation follows the release of a video showing Mamuda and his driver, Salifu Olij Mustapha, harassing unsuspecting youths while falsely claiming to be EFCC officials.

The EFCC's announcement comes just three days after Mustapha was arraigned before Justice Akobi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Kubwa, Abuja. He faces four counts of charges related to impersonation and misrepresentation.

The EFCC is actively pursuing cases against individuals who impersonate its officers to ensure the integrity of its operations and protect the public from fraud.
