EFCC Secures Interim Forfeiture of Abuja Property

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has successfully obtained an interim forfeiture order for a property located at Plot 1, Sabon Gida, Cadastral Zone, Abuja. This legal action was initiated following a motion filed by EFCC counsel Samuel Ugwuegbulan in the Federal Capital Territory High Court, presided over by Justice Jude Onwuegbuzi.

The court granted the order based on the application presented by the EFCC, which included a 13-paragraph affidavit submitted by Ifeoma Ezir, an administrative staff member of the EFCC's legal prosecution department. The affidavit and supporting documents were intended to preserve the property pending the conclusion of ongoing investigations by the commission.

The court carefully examined the affidavit and the arguments presented before granting the interim forfeiture order.
