NSCDC Deploys 56,000 Personnel for Eid al-Adha Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 56,000 personnel across the country to ensure a peaceful celebration of Eid al-Adha. Commandant General Professor Ahm Abubakar Audi ordered an immediate mobilization of operational vehicles, ambulances, boats, and K9 units to facilitate rapid responses during emergencies and to preemptively counter potential security breaches.

The NSCDC has placed special tactical squads on high alert, including mine marshals and intelligence squads, to guarantee the seamless execution of the security master plan. The agency has mandated that zonal commands supervise operations closely in coordination with state commands to ensure compliance with operational orders.

The NSCDC has urged the public to support their efforts and has issued a stern warning against any individuals or groups planning to disrupt public peace or vandalize infrastructure during the festive period, stating that they will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute offenders.
